NAVYA 'LAST MILE' SELF-DRIVING MINIBUS TO THE HAGUE As one of the first large Dutch cities The Hague will receive a self-driving minibus by mid-2019. In addition to public transport, visitors and patients of the cities Haga Hospital can travel for free the last few hundred meters from the public transport stop to the entrance of the hospital. The self-propelled electric minibus with the name 'Haga Shuttle' will be running for four years.

DAIMLER BUYS 20 BILLION EUROS OF BATTERY CELLS Daimler AG buys more than 20 billion euros worth of battery cells between now and 2030. By 2022 the manufacturer wants to offer no less than 130 electric variants via Mercedes-Benz Cars. That is without the electrical versions in the van, bus and truck segment. Daimler is investing ten billion euros in the expansion of the electric fleet of Mercedes-Benz Cars and another billion euros in a worldwide battery production network.
