This unique Volkswagen Transporter T2 in full size can be admired from today on the travel and leisure fair f.r.e.e. in Munich. The vehicle that served as a blueprint for the LEGO motorhome was the iconic T2a motor home, which was built from 1967 to 1971. This LEGO T2a is presented a day before the new facelifted T6 is presented.

The bus manufacturer collaborates in this project with Nobina, the largest public transport operator in the Nordic countries. Scania delivers two autonomous electric buses which will run on regular routes in the Stockholm area, the Swedish capital.

EU CO2 STANDARDS LACKS SUPPORTIVE MEASURES, SAYS ACEA The European Parliament and the Council of Ministers have reached an agreement on the first European standard for CO2 emissions heavy duty commercial vehicles. In 2030, new buses, coaches and trucks will have to emit 30 percent less CO2 than in 2019. The European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) is disappointed about the decision.

ZIEHL-ABEGG GROWS BY 8.1% TO 584 MILLION EURO IN REVENUE Ziehl-Abegg achieved in 2018 an above-average growth: the revenue increased by 8.1 percent to 584 million euros (provisional figures). In 2017 it had been 540 million euros. The sales figures are largely driven by the strong growth of the fan business in the air technology sector. The signs for the sale of the electric wheel hub drive for city buses, ZAwheel, are positive.
