The European Commission is proposing to invest US$3 billion (€2.7 billion) in 152 key transport projects that support competitive, clean and connected mobility in Europe. In doing so, the Commission is delivering on its Investment Plan for Europe and on Europe's connectivity, including the recent Europe on the Move agenda.

SOLARIS ELECTRIC MIDIBUSES FOR BRUSSELS PUBLIC TRANSPORT The Brussels public transport company MIVB/STIB has ordered is first seven fully electric buses. They will be built by the Polish busmanufacturer Solaris. The buses ordered are of the midibus type. By the end of next year the buses will be running on the cityline, the connection between uptown and downtown Brussels.

L.A. METRO WANTS AN EMISSION-FREE FLEET BY 2030 L.A. Metro, Southern California’s biggest transit agency, retired its last diesel bus six years ago. Now, the transportation leaders are working toward a bolder goal: buses that don’t pollute at all. It should lead to an emissionfree fleet by 2030, a move that will require buying more than 2,300 buses that run on electric batteries or another form of zero-emission power, such as hydrogen.

The tyre, also suitable for refuse collection fleets, has reinforced sidewalls to prevent kerb damage, and is designed for constant stop and go operating conditions with frequent changes in speed and direction. The GT867 is available in 11R22.5, 295/80R22.5, 305/70R22.5 and 315/80R22.5 sizes. Load capacity ranges from 148/145 to 158/150.
