BUSWORLD NEWS: ABB TO UNVEIL AUTOMATED PANTOGRAPH FOR E-BUS

Busworld Europe is coming up and there ABB will present its new Panto Up. This new automated panto charging device has been designed to provide a flexible, efficient and fully automated charging solution for larger fleets of electric buses, where limited depot space has driven the decision to select buses with a roof mounted pantograph.

The Dutch company Tribus will present at Busworld 2019 several new products. Along them the electric city bus Movitas, as well as a low floor Civitas Economy based on a VW Crafter and the TrilfexAIR 2.0 flooring system.
HAMBURG ISSUEING TENDERS FOR 530 ZERO-EMISSION BUSES
The Hamburger Hochbahn in Germany plans to purchase up to 530 zero-emission buses in the period from 2021 to 2025. to achieve this it has issued tenders for a corresponding framework agreement. It starts in 2021 and 2022 as the public transport operator will be purchasing significantly more than 100 electric buses. This includes 50 electric articulated buses with a length of 18 meters. By the end of 2022, the complete electric bus fleet will comprise more than 160 vehicles.Read article
