Busworld Academy at Busworld Turkey: call for papers
After six editions in Istanbul, Busworld Turkey is moving to Izmir from 19 to 21 April 2018 in the Fuar Izmir.
Like in previous Busworld Turkey editions, Busworld Academy will organise a congress during the exhibition and is launching a 'call for papers' to select topics and speakers for the programme.
BENGALURU BMTC TO ACQUIRE 150 ELECTRIC BUSES
The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has decided to acquire 150 electric buses on lease basis soon. Karnataka’s transport minister H M Revanna said that the tender process for availing services of the electric buses would be completed soon and the buses would be inducted to BMTC fleet.Read article
ELECTRIC SHUTTLE BUSES WITH MICHELIN ACORUS TECHNOLOGY COMING TO LONDON
Michelin and Maxion Wheels recently jointly presented a flexibel wheel solution that features the tyre maker’s Acorus Technology. This solution has been adopted by French driverless vehicle specialist Navya for its autonomous electric shuttle bus, which is already on the roads in five cities around the world. VOLGABUS-VLADIMIR ELECTRIC BUS PLANT OPERATIONAL
The Bakulin Motors Group has opened its new electric bus factory Volgabus-Vladimir in Vladimir region on 21 December, as reported by Tass. The facility will manufacture large-class electric and gas engine buses under the brand name of Volgabus.Read article
STUTTGARTER TAKES DELIVERY OF FIVE CITARO HYBRID ARTICULATED BUSES
The first new Citaro hybrid buses recently left the factory and will gradually go into service with Stuttgarter Strassenbahnen AG (SSB). They will be used to carry passengers on inner-city routes in Stuttgart. Based on the hybrid technology recently unveiled by Mercedes-Benz, the vehicles impress with a fuel saving of up to 8.5 percent.Read article
