MOSCOW WANTS A FULL ELECTRIC BUSFLEET Moscow is preparing it self to welcome a fully electric bus fleet the coming years. The first electric buses are now on the roads as Rusautonews.com reports. As of 2021 Moscow will only buy electric buses in order to renew the diesel bus fleet of which a large part is Euro 4 or lower. Besides the enormous bus fleet of several thousand buses Moscow's public transport also consists of 900 trams and more than 1000 trolleybuses. From 23 to 25 October Moscow hosts the Busworld Russia exhibition with all the innovations Russian manufacturers are developing.

CHINESE JAC SUNRAY MINIBUSES TO BE ASSEMBLED AT MAZ PLANT JAC Motors, established in 1964, announced that the assembly of its Sunray van and minibus will start at MAZ factory in Brest (Belarus). Not only will MAZ produce the vehicles but they will build them under their own brand. The new models will be sold as MAZ 281 and MAZ 3650. The components for the vehicles will be imported from China. JAC Motors is Officially known as Jianghuai Automobile Co Ltd, and has been listed in Shanghai Stock Exchange since 2001.

RUSSIAN BUS MARKET GROWS BY 22% The Russian bus market is still growing strong. Autostat analytic agency reported sales of 6,300 buses (+3,5 t) over the first half of 2018. According to the agency this a plus of 21,8% in comparison with the same period a year ago. The sales in the European Union were according to the Acea 20,206 buses. A decline of 0.9% in relation to the first half of 2017 when there were 20,398 buses sold.
