EUROPE’S FIRST BYD ELECTRIC ARTICS FOR NORWAY
Two 18m buses are running on route 31 and 31E, Norway's heaviest duty routes carrying 15m customers a year, around 50,000 a day.
Other electric buses are on trial in Norway but, unlike them, the BYD articulated ebuses do not use opportunity charging via pantographs and street facilities, but charge at the depot.
BENGALURU BMTC TO ACQUIRE 150 ELECTRIC BUSES
The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has decided to acquire 150 electric buses on lease basis soon. Karnataka’s transport minister H M Revanna said that the tender process for availing services of the electric buses would be completed soon and the buses would be inducted to BMTC fleet.Read article
SOLARIS TROLLEYBUSES TO LITHUANIA CAPITAL
Polish bus manufacturer Solaris Bus & Coach S.A. has signed a contract to deliver 41 trolleybuses to the Vilnius bus operator UAB „Vilniaus viešasis transportas" (VVT). It is another big agreement signed with this Lithuanian transport provider in the recent time. Only few weeks ago Solaris has won an order for a delivery of 150 buses to the very same operator.Read article
