MOROCCO GETS BYD PLANT The Chinese vehicle manufacturer BYD has signed an agreement with the Moroccan government about plans. to construct a factory in the north African nation. On the envisaged production site near Tangiers BYD plans to engage 2,500 employees to construct passenger vehicles, buses and trucks with electric engines, as well as produce a range of batteries.

ROAD TRANSPORT TO DELHI AIRPORT SHOULD ADOPT CNG BUSES

Delhi airport transfer busIndia’s National Green Tribunal (NGT), established in 2010 for effective and expeditious disposal of cases relating to environmental matters, has directed that all coaches, buses and other vehicles plying the airport zone of Indira Gandhi International Airport should operate using Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).It has ruled that these CNG-operated vehicles must comply with the prescribed emission standards.

HINO MOTORS AND ASHOK LEYLAND DEVELOP ENGINES TOGETHER

Hino Motors Ltd. From Japan and Ashok Leyland Ltd have entered into a Mutual Cooperation Agreement (MCA) where Ashok Leyland from India will utilize Hino’s Euro-VI compliance engine technology for Ashok Leyland’s new BS-VI (EURO-VI) development, and Hino will be supported from Ashok Leyland in development of Hino’s engine parts purchasing in India for global operation.
