INDIA ORDERS 500 ELECTRIC BUSES FOR PUNE
The Indian city of Pune has ordered 500 electric buses due to arrive over the next six months. Local transport provider PMPML changed the order last minute, scrapping its initial plan to acquire 800 diesel buses after mounting political pressure.
BERLIN PREPARES ANOTHER ELECTRIC BUS TENDER
The first tender to electrify the Berlin bus fleet owned by the BVG with 30 electric buses has closed. The BVG is now checking the offers and will decide who will receive the bid. The next tender is also to be released shortly.
OSLO GETS SEVENTY NEW E-BUSES
The Norwegian capital Oslo has announced the procurement of 70 new electric buses, which will take up service next year. The companies Unibus, Nobina and Norgesbuss will be operating the new vehicles on 13 bus lines in Oslo.

Engine manfacturer China Yuchai International Limited announced recently that 800 buses manufactured by Anhui Ankai Automobile Co. Ltd. and powered by GYMCL engines were recently exported to Saudi Arabia.
