HELIOX TO SUPPLY CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE FOR BONN AND DARMSTADT Heliox is chosen to power electric bus fleet in German cities Bonn and Darmstadt. The two new projects are both the first steps towards a zero emission bus fleet in the cities. The total amount of MW in Bonn and Darmstadt that will be installed is 5,25. For Darmstadt, Heliox will install 4.2 MW chargers at the depot and for Bonn 1,05 MW also installed at the depot.

NEW WEBASTO HEPA AIR FILTRATION SYSTEM FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT Webasto has developed HEPA air filtration systems for rapid and simple retrofitting, “HFT 300” and “HFT 600”, for ambulances, buses and streetcars. Webasto states they are capable of filtering particles smaller than 0.3 micrometers – including airborne viruses, bacteria, aerosols and dust – from five to ten cubic meters of air per minute.

RENEWED CONTRACT URGES KEOLIS SWEDEN TO PURCHASE 15 NEW E-BUSES Keolis Sverige, Keolis' Swedish subsidiary, was awarded a four-year contract extension by the Swedish public transport authority (PTA) Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL) worth 500 million euros to operate and maintain a fossil-free bus fleet in Stockholm, Sweden. The original contract, due to expire in August 2022, will now run until August 2026 and features the introduction of 15 new fully electric buses to the current fleet.

NEW FABRICS ENHANCED WITH ADDITIONAL FLAME RETARDANTS FROM CAMIRA In order to meet the new ECE Reg 118.03, English company, Camira - makers, designers and manufacturers of textiles and fabrics for the contract sector - developed two new fabrics enhanced with additional flame retardants which enable these to pass both a vertical flammability test, as well as a horizontal test. Super Trim Plus and Premier Trim Plus are lightweight non-woven products used for roof linings, wall sides, seat backs and luggage compartments in transport applications like buses and coaches.
