MERCEDES-BENZ IS DOING WELL IN POLAND Mercedes-Benz is doing well in Poland. Two months ago it signed a contract for the delivery of 48 buses and now the German bus manufacturer signed a contract for the supply of 50 Mercedes-Benz Citaro city buses to the city of Wroclaw. These 50 Citaro G articulated buses are 18.13 metres long and provide space for up to 140 passengers each, ideal for routes with a high volume of passengers.

UK’S FIRST FULL-SIZED AUTONOMOUS BUS BEGAN TRIALS The UK’s first full-sized autonomous bus is now being trialled in Manchester Sharston bus depot. The ground-breaking project – involving a 11.5m ADL Enviro200 single-decker – is part of a programme being delivered by transport operator Stagecoach in partnership with bus manufacturer Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) and technology company Fusion Processing.

TWO GERMAN ORDERS FOR THE ECITARO: 72 UNITS

TWO GERMAN ORDERS FOR THE ECITARO: 72 UNITS Mercedes-Benz has received a for the company record-breaking order for the eCitaro electric bus. ESWE Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH from Wiesbaden (Hesse region) has placed an order for 56 eCitaro's, 41 of them to be delivered with the new solid state battery packs. Also the same week Verkehrsbetriebe Hamburg-Holstein (VHH) ordered 16 units of the electric city bus. For the Wiesbaden order Mercedes-Benz also takes care of the adaptation of the service yard, the equipment and setting up of charging infrastructure, as well as the charging management process itself.
