MARCUS BREITSCHWERDT NEW HEAD OF MERCEDES-BENZ VANS Marcus Breitschwerdt, currently Head of Marketing & Sales Mercedes-Benz Cars Europe, will be the new head of Mercedes-Benz Vans as of May 1, 2019. He succeeds Volker Mornhinweg (59), Head of Mercedes-Benz Vans, who after 39 years at Daimler AG will retire on May 1, 2019. Marcus Breitschwerdt (57), will report to Wilfried Porth, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG; Human Resources and Director of Labor Relations, Mercedes-Benz Vans, as Volker Mornhinweg did before.

MERCEDES-BENZ IS DOING WELL IN POLAND Mercedes-Benz is doing well in Poland. Two months ago it signed a contract for the delivery of 48 buses and now the German bus manufacturer signed a contract for the supply of 50 Mercedes-Benz Citaro city buses to the city of Wroclaw. These 50 Citaro G articulated buses are 18.13 metres long and provide space for up to 140 passengers each, ideal for routes with a high volume of passengers.

TWO GERMAN ORDERS FOR THE ECITARO: 72 UNITS Mercedes-Benz has received a for the company record-breaking order for the eCitaro electric bus. ESWE Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH from Wiesbaden (Hesse region) has placed an order for 56 eCitaro's, 41 of them to be delivered with the new solid state battery packs. Also the same week Verkehrsbetriebe Hamburg-Holstein (VHH) ordered 16 units of the electric city bus. For the Wiesbaden order Mercedes-Benz also takes care of the adaptation of the service yard, the equipment and setting up of charging infrastructure, as well as the charging management process itself.
