HELIOX BRINGS SPRINTCHARGE TO BUSWORLD Hall 3, stand 369

SprintCharge by Heliox is according to the manufacturer the world’s first battery integrated opportunity charging station for e-buses and e-trucks. SprintCharge is a smart charging station which includes a stationary battery for storage to enable the high power “sprints” of charging power required for opportunity charging. The battery can deliver a much higher power charging sprint than the grid connection can support, allowing a smaller, cheaper grid connection.

ALSTOM UNVEILS THE FIRST SRS ground-based reCHARGING POINT FOR E-BUSES In Nice, France, it has been operating for trams for 16 months: Alstom's SRS ground-based recharging system. Alstom has now presented a version for e-buses in Malaga, Spain. Ground-based recharging of batteries can replace charging via a pantograph. For the time being, it is a prototype that Alstom has built in Malaga as part of the 'Paloma' project (Prototype for Alternative Operation of Mobility Assets).

Ekoenergetyka signed a framework agreement with the Norwegian company Brakar AS for the delivery of a fast charging station for Drammen city. The agreement assumes the delivery of up to 15 pantograph fast charging stations of 300 kW and 450 kW with the option of ordering another 10 units.

Busworld Brussels will not be only about buses or coaches. New techniques will be demonstrated, such as from Herman Elektronika from Czech Republic which is specialized in “CAR 2 Infrastructure communication” and “CAR 2 CAR communication”, based on ETSI ITS-G5 standards. Herman delivers units for cars as well as a base unit for controller of cross preferences and is one of the “shadow” participants of C-ROADS projects where it won implementation of the units to the highways D1.
