VDL BUS & COACH ANNOUNCES NEW GENERATION OF THE CITEA Coming year, VDL Bus & Coach will present the new generation of the electric VDL Citea. This new generation has been developed exclusively based on an electric driveline. The new Citea will be revealed to the public at Busworld 2021 in Brussels. During the months prior to Busworld VDL Bus & Coach will lift gradually tips of the veil covering the new e-bus, off what is new in the Citea generation 2021.

ELRINGKLINGER AND VDL CONCLUDE FUEL CELL PARTNERSHIP German ElringKlinger AG and VDL Bus & Coach BV have agreed on a strategic partnership in developing and industrializing fuel cell stacks and systems for mobile and stationary applications. Within this partnership, ElringKlinger AG will focus on the customer-specific development and production of fuel cell stacks. VDL will be primarily responsible for system integration and testing under real conditions.

A ROBOT FOR CHARGING EBUSCO BUSES The Dutch bus manufacturer Ebusco joined forces with another Dutch company, Rocsys, to automate bus charging equipment. Rocsys is a supplier of plug-in robots. Both companies joined forces to automate bus depots through robotisation. The innovative Rocsys robot ensures that the CCS plug of the depot charger is plugged into the bus automatically and 100% correctly without the driver having to do anything.

HELIOX ENTERS BELGIUM AND POWERS 12 E-BUSES The Belgium bus and coach company Multiobus has chosen Dutch Heliox as its charging infrastructure partner, making it the first commercial turnkey charging infrastructure project for Heliox in Belgium. Heliox is granted delivery of the charging infrastructure for a total of 12 e-buses. Charging will take place in the recently constructed depot.
