HTM INSTALLS QSTRAINT QUANTUM IN 8 NEW ELECTRIC CITEAS Public transport operator in the Dutch government city, HTM, displayed its first eight VDL Citea electric SLF120 last week to the public. A scoop for the Netherlands is the Qstraint Quantum system to secure electric wheelchairs which HTM has installed in their new zero emission buses. The charging equipment is from Heliox.

SECOND LIFE FOR ELECTRIC BUS BATTERIES IN SWEDEN Volvo Bus is participating in a research project where Volvo Buses, Göteborg Energi, Riksbyggen and Johanneberg Science Park are working together to examine electricity storage in apartment blocks that have their own electricity production via solar panels. Volvo Bus is supplying the batteries for this project. It are the used batteries from the very first Volvo electric buses operating since 2015 in Swedish Gothenburg.

SIGNIFICANT 9,8 MW ORDER FOR HELIOX FROM OSLO Heliox, manufacturer of charging equipment, has been chosen to supply the biggest bus charging network in Oslo with a significant 9,8 MW infrastructure. It concerns 40 fast charging stations to power a fleet of 40 all-electric buses operated by transportcompany Unibuss. Heliox has to get this large-scale project up and running in less than 4 months. The first e-buses will start running around the Greater Oslo Region in the spring of 2019.

ADL AND STAGECOACH IN TRIAL AUTONOMOUS FULL-SIZED BUS Scotland is to host the trial of the first autonomous full-sized passenger bus fleet. The trial – to begin during 2019 – will include five autonomous single deck vehicles which will run between Fife and Edinburgh. The buses – operated by Stagecoach East Scotland – will be used autonomously to Level 4 standard which means that a driver must remain on board during any journey in line with UK regulations.

the Russian company PC Transport Systems (PCTS). This unique electric bus, called Pioneer, employs a clever Mobile Battery Storage (MBS) system that makes it possible to increase its driving distance while maintaining maximum passenger capacity.
