DAIMLER BUSES STARTS 3D PRINTING SERIES PRODUCTION
Daimler Buses is already over 25 years active in 3D printing although in a prototype construction stage. Now it has announced it has transferred from the prototype fase to series production. Using 3D printing, Daimler Buses will use the technique to react quickly, flexible, economically and environmentally responsibly to urgent customer requirements, such as rarely ordered components or special customer requests.
BELGIAN DE LIJN ORDERS 200 HYBRIDS AT VDL BUS & COACH
The Belgian public transport operator De Lijn orders 200 green buses from VDL Bus & Coach. It is the largest order ever from the operator, both in terms of the number of buses and in terms of investment of 92 million euros. De Lijn now opts for hybrid buses. In a second phase of the project, VDL Bus & Coach converts the buses to electric.
AN UNIQUE BUILDING FOR MÜNCHNER VERKEHRSGESELLSCHAFT
German Stadtwerke München GmbH (SWM) and Münchner Verkehrsgesellschaft are creating a modern infrastructure for electric buses. The public transport operator is building a completely new bus depot at München-Moosach that will manage 200 electric buses for which Ekoenergetyka-Polska will deliver 56 charging stations cooled with liquid.

FIFTY NEW HYDROGEN BUSES FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN THE NETHERLANDS
In an agreement between the Dutch Ministry for Infrastructure and Water Management (I&W) en three provinces funds have been allocated for the purschase of 50 new fuel cell buses buses in public transport. All 50 buses will travel through the provinces Groningen, Drenthe and South Holland by 2021 at the latest.
