UK’S FIRST FULL-SIZED AUTONOMOUS BUS BEGAN TRIALS The UK’s first full-sized autonomous bus is now being trialled in Manchester Sharston bus depot. The ground-breaking project – involving a 11.5m ADL Enviro200 single-decker – is part of a programme being delivered by transport operator Stagecoach in partnership with bus manufacturer Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) and technology company Fusion Processing.

ZF ABOUT TO DEFINITIVE ACQUIRE WABCO Friedrichshafen. ZF Friedrichshafen AG, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Wabco (NYSE: WBC) for $136.50 per share. The planned acquisition has been approved by ZF’s Management Board and Supervisory Board and Wabco's Board of Directors. Together, ZF and Wabco will form a leading global integrated mobility systems provider for commercial vehicles. The combined company will have sales of approximately €40 billion.

SCANIA AND NOBINA INITIATE TRIAL PROJECT WITH AUTONOMOUS BUSES Scania starts a trial project with autonomous buses in Sweden. The bus manufacturer collaborates in this project with Nobina, the largest public transport operator in the Nordic countries. Scania delivers two autonomous electric buses which will run on regular routes in the Stockholm area, the Swedish capital.
