For the fourth time in four years, the Hungarian public transport organisation Volánbusz Zrt. has ordered a significant number of Neoplan Tourliners: 29 new Tourliners due to be delivered this summer. With this order Volánbusz has a fleet of in total 133 Neoplan Tourliners.

In Hungary, buses and coaches are popular and frequently used modes of transport amongst tourists and the wider population. It is one of the most frequently used modes of public transport.

The 29 Tourliners are powered by a D26 engine with 470 hp (346 kW), which meets the requirements of the Euro 6d emissions standard and an automated 12-gear MAN TipMatic Coach gearbox. The air conditioning unit, WiFi system, USB charging points and 230 volt sockets provide comfort and convenience. These 2-axle premium coaches can carry up to 49 passengers. Each seat comes with a seat belt and a footrest. The driver is assisted by several intelligent systems, including ESP (Electronic Stability Program), ASR, Lane Guard and the Emergency Brake Assist EBA.

A year Volánbusz received 43 Neoplan Tourliners, in 2018 31 and in 2017 30. In total over the last four years Volánbusz bought 133 Neoplan buses.
