Stoneridge-Orlaco introduces a new 15” monitor for its MirrorEye mirror replacement system. This new 15” monitor is designed for coaches and gives a better view with larger vehicles. The larger screen at non driver side increases the situational awareness next to the drivers vehicle. Also Stoneridge-Orlaco has received the PACE 2020 Award from Automotive News for the MirrorEye Camera Monitor System (CMS). This is the third industry award MirrorEye has received since October of 2019.

The Stoneridge-Orlaco MirrorEye portfolio consist of a CMS for trucks and a CMS for buses and coaches. Both systems are R46 approved. The monitor line consists of the new 15” monitor and 12.3” and 7” monitors. According to the manufacturer MirrorEye increases safety by covering a larger field of vision than mirror classes II and IV. The CMS can be supplemented with the CornerEye camera system for mirror class V, which eliminates blind spots around the bus.

The PACE Awards honors superior innovation, technological advancement and business performance among automotive suppliers. Before at the Busworld Europe exhibition 2019 in Brussels Stoneridge-Orlaco received the 2019 Busworld Innovation Label for this CMS. Earlier this year, the North American Truck Writers committee awarded MirrorEye CMS with the 2020 Jim Winsor Technical Achievement Award.
