EMT MADRID TO INVEST 35 MILLION IN 50 NEW ELECTRIC BUSES
The Municipal Transport Company (EMT) in Madrid (Spain) has has placed a tender for the commission of 50 new electric buses. The value of the order is 35 million euros. This tender for 50 new electric buses is the largest in the history of EMT.
With this contract, divided into two lots, EMT will increase its fleet of 12-meter standard electric buses and commits it self to electric mobility within the EMT fleet electrification plan, within the framework of the sustainable mobility strategy of Madrid 360. EMT announced the tender will be open and divided into two lots and has a basic bidding budget of 35 million euros, VAT included. The deadline for delivery of vehicles is scheduled between September 1 and December 18 of this year.
