Just before Busworld in Brussels started, Noot Personenvervoer in the Netherlands ordered 600 Mercedes-Benz vans: 400 Vito Tourers for the transport of schoolchildren and 200 Sprinter wheelchair buses. The delivery of the new vehicles has already started and will be completed before the end of this year.

Noot Personenvervoer in the Dutch city of Ede specializes in transporting children, the elderly and people with a disability to school, day care or care institution throughout the Netherlands on a daily basis. In order to meet the high demand, Noot has a fleet of around 1,700 vehicles at its disposal. The Mercedes-Benz brand is traditionally represented. The 600 Vito’s and Sprinters that Noot now purchases will replace part of the existing fleet.

It is no coincidence that Noot has again opted for Mercedes-Benz, says Martijn Kersing, director of Noot: “Our good relationship with Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-Benz Financial Services has certainly played a role, but there is more. With an order like this, it is emphatically also about the financing request. In setting this up, Mercedes-Benz has acted as a partner that thinks in solutions and that meets commitments. Mercedes-Benz Financial Services and the Dutch dealer “Stern Auto” have perfectly adjusted the entire process and ensure that it is properly monitored.

Henri Tordoir has managed the order on behalf of Mercedes-Benz Vans. Tordoir: “What makes Noot's order special is that the company has opted for Vito’s with automatic transmissions, which in the end also have a positive effect on the residual value of the cars.” Mercedes-Benz Van ProCenter Stern Auto delivers 10 Vitos and 5 Sprinters at the same time each week.
