IVECO BUS COMPLETED ITS BIGGEST BUS DELIVERY IN NORWAY EVER
Iveco Bus has completed its biggest bus delivery ever in Norway to Vy Buss AS, formerly Nettbuss AS. The deal covers the delivery of a total of 217 city and intercity buses in three different versions. The first buses went into operation early this summer.
The buses will operate in both Øvre and Nedre Romerike. The bus tender will have a duration of 8 years with the possibility of an extension. The 217 Crossway delivered will come in three different versions. The largest proportion, 110 buses, belong to the 14.5m three-axle Crossway LE Line version. These buses have 57 seats and room for 52 standing passengers and are powered by the 360hp Cursor 9 engine. The deal also covers 67 12.1m two-axle Crossway LE Line buses powered by the 320hp Tector 7 engine. These buses have 45 seats and room for 39 standing passengers. The last 40 buses belong to the Crossway Line version. These 13m buses with normal-height floor and powered by the 320hp Tector 7 engine have 49 seats and room for 29 standing passengers. Both engine versions in the buses to be delivered to Vy Buss are fully compatible with HVO (Hydroated Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil).
Suited to match every need, some of these vehicles are equipped with grit spreaders, which can come in handy on icy winter roads. All the buses also have a new and improved ticket system and TFT screens for up-to-date information to the passengers. Passengers also benefit from USB-sockets for charging their devices. A special trait of these buses is the new roof light bar for improved high-beam output. Many of these buses will operate in areas with sparse road lighting and improved high-beam output increases road safety.
