German company in-tech launched through the pilot project "e-troFit" at the end of 2017 an electrive driveline to be retrofitted in diesel buses. Now the pilot project will become a serial product. At the end of the year, the first e-troFit buses will roll onto the road.

In order to put the e-troFit solution into series production, in-tech has founded the 100% subsidiary e-troFit GmbH. The subsidiary takes over the development, series production and distribution of the e-troFit solution. Andreas Hager, Managing Director of the newly founded e-troFit GmbH: "With the spin-off of the project into a separate subsidiary, we ensure that our development and production team can continue to focus 100% on e-troFit." E-troFit presented it self as a new brand at the UITP Summit in Stockholm. E-troFit is based in the German city Ingolstadt.

The first orders are already available according to company information. ZF supplies the drive components for the e-troFit vehicles and also provides its worldwide workshop network. E-troFit's partnership with ZF ensures according to the company that a high-quality product is created that is comparable to a production vehicle. The first e-troFit vehicles will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2019.
