For the first time the new BYD 13 metre pure electric coach, which was assembled in the French city of Beauvais, were BYD has a new plant, is on trial in France. Hosted by the Region Hauts-de-France, Transdev and BYD, a special event was held in Beauvais to mark the start of the trial.

In Beauvais two electric BYD buses have been in operation since December last year. Like the BYD electric buses delivered to Dunkerque and Orléans they were assembled by BYD France in Beauvais, Hauts-de-France. So far there are no electric coaches that operate long distance services. Now for the very first time a 100% electric BYD coach will be taken in operation by Transdev Hauts-de-France in commission of the Region Hauts-de-France - Public transport authority. The coach will run twice a day on route 33E between the bus stations of Beauvais and Compiègne, through Clermont station, on a route of around 120km return, a total of 240 km per day.
