DRIVE SYSTEMS OPENS LNG / L-CNG STATION NEAR ANTWERP
Drive Systems opened its first LNG and L-CNG station in Belgium at the ADPO site in Kallo near Antwerp. It is part of the European project LNG Blue Corridors. The goal of this project, called LNG Drive, is the realization of corridors on which LNG trucks can traverse Europe, from North to South and from East to West. With this new LNG station in Kallo, Belgium has eight LNG filling stations.
Drive systems is specialized in gas systems for vehicle propulsion. The liquified natural gas is supplied from the Fluxys LNG terminal in Zeebrugge to a temperature of -160 ° C.
The environmentally friendly LNG provide a modal truck with an autonomy of around 1,200 km. The LNG Drive station has a vertical storage tank of 70,000 litre of LNG. The filling station also offers L-CNG on the site. L-CNG is CNG produced from the LNG storage tank. The CNG pump has a classic NGV1 connection (for passenger cars and vans) and a large NGV2 connection for trucks and buses. ADPO is the first customer of the station. The company purchased ten trucks powered by LNG. Mattheeuws (Veurne) and Vos Logistics from the Netherlands have already brought trucks into circulation.
