BULGARIAN MINISTERS GOT FIRED AFTER DEADLY BUS ACCIDENT
At a press conference beginning September in the Bulgarian capital Sofia it was announced that three ministers of the Bulgarian government were asked to resign due to the bus accident at the end of august which killed 17 people. It concerns the Transport Minister, Interior Minister and Regional Development Minister. They were held political responsible by the Prime Minister.
The accident happened 40 kilometres north of Bulgaria’s capital Sofia. Also 20 people were injured in the incident. Bulgaria and Balkan regions are the most disastrous countries in Bulgaria. In Bulgaria last year 648 people died in road accidents. This year this number is increasing. The opposition Socialist Party demanded government resignation and said that this accident was only the result of corruption. The investigation into the accident is underway.
