Moscow is clearly renewing its bus fleet. Earlier this year Russian based GAZ group announced an order for 100 electric buses to “Mosgortrans” in Moscow. It will be low floor buses based on the LiAZ-5292. Delivery will be from March 2019. The buses have capacity for 85 passengers and 27 seats.

LiAZ, a subsidiary from the GAZ Group, already delivered 539 buses to Moscow's Mosgortrans as part of the fleet renewal. It are the models LiAZ-5292, LiAZ-4292 and LiAZ 6213 equipped with automatic transmissions, ABS brake systems and YAMZ-530 Euro-5 engines. These buses have capacity for between 76 and 154 people and are equipped with a multiplex system for complete diagnostics of all systems and assemblies. The buses will be serviced by LiAZ, according to a life-cycle contract.

LiAZ was already carrying out the maintenance of more than 430 LiAZ buses in Moscow.

Earlier LiAZ supplied 615 buses to the Moscow Region’s state unitary enterprise Mostransavto.
