LIAZ SUPPLIES MORE THAN 600 RUSSIAN BUSES TO THE MOSCOW REGION
Likinsky Bus factory LiAZ has supplied 615 Russian buses to the state unitary enterprise Mostransavto for transport services in the municipality of Moscow region. The 540 large-class Voyage buses on Scania chassis and 75 low-floor large-class LiAZ-5292 urban buses have been delivered to the region, as reported by LiAZ press office.
More than 3000 LiAZ buses are currently being used by Mostransavto, forming around 60% of the bus fleet of the enterprise. Over 700 of the Russian buses were specially manufactured for Sochi 2014 Olympic Games, taking into account the reliability and the safety requirements for transport services in high level international events. The buses started operating in the routes of Moscow Region after the Olympics, as part of the Olympic legacy.
The Voyage buses on Scania chassis will be used in intercity routes of 500 km and over. The vehicles with 60 passenger capacity have served in the 22nd Winter Olympic Games and the 11th Paralympic Games in Sochi in 2014.
The LiAZ-5292 buses are designed for routes with intensive passenger traffic. The model has become the most popular choice amongst high passenger carrying capacity Russian buses in the fleet renewal processes of the major cities of the country. The 12m long model has 94 seats.
