The contract states that the ten new generation Solaris Urbino 12 electric buses will arrive at the streets of Warsaw in the first quarter of 2018.
The key argument for Warsaw’s bus operator was not only the price but also product’s innovation, the quality of the components, total amount of passengers’ space as well as the capacity of traction batteries.

According to the agreement, the buses will be delivered by the end of March 2018. They will be equipped with 208 kWh Solaris High Energy batteries which can be charged using a depot plug-in charger at 40-120 kW, or by a roof-mounted pantograph. Owing to this solution, the buses will be able to carry out everyday transport operations.

The ten Urbino ordered will be another electric buses from Solaris in the operator’s fleet. The first battery buses from Bolechowo arrived at the Warsaw’s streets in 2015. Ten Urbino 12 electric buses operate on line 222 and are characterized by a very high technical efficiency. The positive experience of their exploitation allowed for the further development of electromobility in the city’s public transport.
