AYATS WORKS ON ELECTRIC OPEN TOP DOUBLEDECKER
Ayats has announced that it has started work on a zero-emission variant of its Bravo I City open-top double-decker with an Actia electric driveline. The Spanish manufacturer says that interest in the project has been received from a number of sightseeing operators in Europe.
The prototype tri-axle vehicle, which is left-hand drive and expected to first see service in Barcelona, uses Ayats’ own chassis and preliminary construction has started within the last few weeks at its Arbúcies factory. A two-axle model will follow, it says.
