KING LONG SELLING 23000 MINIVANS ON THE EGYPTIAN MARKET

A sales contract for 576 CKD versions of the Kingwin minivan was signed during a recent marketing conference in Egypt. Since the cooperation started in 2009, sales records have been set every year. By June of 2010, King Long Egypt (KLE) reached sales of 1,000 vehicles. The company broke the 10,000 vehicles mark in 2013, and, by October 2016, sold 23,000 vehicles.

In 2012, KLE partnered with King Long to launch a CKD project for King Long minivans in Egypt. A manufacturing facility with annual production capacity of 5,000 minivans was set up, including an automotive coating workshop valued at EGP100 million. King Long has become the number one minivan brand in Egypt.

Egypt is one of the most important markets in King Long's global expansion. The implementation of the Chinese government's program to revitalize trade connecting Europe and Asia, more King Long buses and vans will make their appearance on the roads, he company claims.

Established in December 1988, Xiamen Automotive Industry Corporation's subsidiary Xiamen King Long United Automotive Industry Co., Ltd., is engaged in the R&D, production, sales and after-sale service of large, medium-sized and light-duty buses and passenger vans. King Long has three manufacturing facilities, the Xiamen Bus and Coach Manufacturing Base, the Xiamen Mini Van Manufacturing Base and the Shaoxing City Bus Manufacturing Base, which collectively feature a gross floor area of 800,000 square meters and annual production capacity of 20,000 large and medium-sized buses and 30,000 minivans. King Long has exported over 60,000 vehicles to nearly 130 countries and regions worldwide.
