NEFAZ, A SUBSIDIARY OF KAMAZ, WILL EXHIBIT AT BUSWORLD RUSSIA 2016
NEFAZ OJSC in Bashkortostan is a subsidiary of KAMAZ PTC.
KAMAZ Group of Companies is the largest automobile corporation in the Russian Federation. It ranks 11-th among the world’s leading heavy duty truck producers.
On February 16th 1976, KAMAZ witnessed the first truck, produced on the banks of the Kama River, roll off the assembly line of the Truck Assembly Plant. KAMAZ Group of Organizations comprises more than 150 organizations based in Russia, CIS and other abroad countries. Today, the divisions and subsidiaries of KAMAZ PTC employ nearly 40 000 persons.
The subsidiary that produces buses is called Neftekamsk Auto Works OJSC, or in short NEFAZ OJSC. It is situated in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
According to a study carried out by AvtostatInfo, the Neftekamsk Auto Works became second in the ranking for new bus sales in the Russian Federation, having sold 1130 units in 2015. Based on the year end results, NEFAZ managed to ramp up sales volumes by 21.6% on the year 2014, when 929 were sold. The Company’s market share also grew, making up 10.8% (10.3% - in 2014). At the same time, in December last year, NEFAZ OJSC sold 98 buses, which is 40.2% down on the same indicator for the year 2014 (164 units).
