ASHOK LEYLAND RECEIVES BIG BUS ORDER FROM SENEGAL

India's second largest commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland has received orders worth $82 million (approx Rs 521 crore) from Senegal.

The order comprises supply of 475 buses, genuine spares, assistance in development of workshops, training and consultancy on fleet management and structuring of vehicle tracking and monitoring system.

Indian Minister of State Siddeshwara mentioned on this occasion that the Indian Government, whenever needed, interacts with the Indian automotive industry to ensure that automobile export to African nations is given adequate support by organising fairs/exhibitions/seminars in India and Africa to boost exports in this sector to Africa.
