XIAMEN KING LONG TO SUPPLY 406 BUSES TO SENEGAL

Chinese bus maker Xiamen King Long United Automotive Industry Co., will supply 406 buses to Senegal this year in an effort to renovate Senegal's public buses. CHINA'S JANUARY BUS SALES DOWN 38%

China's bus sales in January 2009 fell 37.74% from a year earlier to 19,100 units, said sina.com today, citing the data from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). Sales of large, medium and light buses all saw month-on-month and year-on-year decline.

KINGLONG EXPORTED 3088 BUSES IN 2008

Xiamen King Long United Automotive Industry Co Ltd, a Xiamen-based bus and coach manufacturer, already announced in December last year that she expected her export revenue to rise by more than 90% year on year to $200 million in 2008. She now claims having exported 3088 complete buses in 2008, which means a jump of 98.97% compared with 2007, representing an export sales volume 1.35 billion yuan.

BUSWORLD: SAO PAULO POSTPONED TILL 2011 IN AN IMPROVED SCHEDULE

The first edition of the Brazilian Busworld exposition, first scheduled for June 2009 in Sao Paulo, has been postponed to the same month in 2011. Held for the first time in June 2010 will be a Russian Busworld exhibition. The introduction of this Russian event means that Busworld now is present in all BRIC countries – but also beyond.
