Rumours surrounding the French car manufacturer Renault and its stake in AB Volvo, whose largest single shareholder she is with a 21.8% stake, suggest that Renault might sell this stake to the Wallenberg family and their investment vehicle Investor AB, till last year owners of a large stake in Scania. This suggestion was published recently by the Swedish business magazine Veckans Affarer.

Daimler Buses has been awarded a major contract to deliver 260 Mercedes-Benz Citaro city buses to the emirate of Dubai. Production of the ordered buses is to commence in the first quarter of 2009. In addition to the delivery of the buses, the contract includes a multi-year service and maintenance agreement.
