Scania unveiled its new global engine platform that will be used worldwide for all emission standards: Euro 3, Euro 4, Euro 5, EEV and Euro 6. European markets also have access to an extended range of Euro 5 and EEV engines with SCR technology. The engines can operate on up to 100% biodiesel.

The new retarder has up to 30 percent more continuous braking power and works with the engine coolant as operating medium. At the Busworld Europe 2011 in Kortrijk, Belgium, ZF Friedrichshafen AG presents the new low-floor portal axle AV 133. The new axle generation will be introduced in two stages – to be implemented by 2014. The first implementation stage will be completed by the end of 2011. During 2014, the second stage will take place in close cooperation with the customers.
