BREDAMENARINIBUS TO BE SOLD

According to press reports, Italian aerospace and defence group, Finmeccanica, is to sell its bus building subsidiary, BredaMenarinibus, next year. The company produces the Vivacity, Avancity, Lander intercity coach, Zeus electric minibus and the M240 EI hybrid. Turkish commercial vehicle builder, Karsan, which is now only building light- and nedium-weight vehicles, has been named as the possible new owner of the business.

KINGLONG TO LAUNCH BONNETED SCHOOLBUS

Kinglong has confirmed that they are now developing a bonneted school bus that will be in compliance with American federal safety standards for this type of bus. The buses will be unveiled next year. The buses have been developed in order to guarantee schoolchildren a safe journey to and from school.

VISEON TROLLEYBUS WITH VIP FACILITIES FOR SAUDI ARABIA

The world´s first articulated trolley bus with exclusive VIP facilities has been built in the Viseon plant in Pilsting, Lower Bavaria. The articulated bus with real wood floor, leather covered ceiling and comfortable leather seats is part of an order from the King Saud University, Riyadh for twelve trolley buses of the type Viseon LT20. In future, the electrically operated trolley buses in up-to-date Viseon design will provide the newly-erected King Saud University, Riyadh with a locally emission-free and extremely quiet passenger transit system.

COSLIGHT TO PRODUCE PURE ELECTRIC BUSES WITHIN TWO YEARS,

The Hong Kong-listed battery manufacturer Coslight Technology International Group Co., Ltd. (Coslight) intends to produce pure electric buses within two years, revealed Coslight chairman Song Dianquan recently. With the production lines in its Harbin base expanded, the annual battery production capacity will increase to 400,000 kWh.

BCI AMERICA LAUNCHED INTO THE NORTH AMERICAN MARKET
