NEXT STEP IN DEVELOPING DIESEL MISCIBLE BIOFUELS

The European Union is funding research to develop new technologies for the sustainable production of diesel miscible biofuels (DMB) from waste in Europe and Latin America. The Dibanet project (Development of Integrated Biomass Approaches Network) is a €3.73 million scheme to transform organic residues from biofuel production processes into a renewable biofuel that can reduce reliance on fossil diesel imports.
VOLVO IS LAUNCHING AN ONLINE SERVICE FOR GREEN COMMUTING

The Volvo Group is launching Commute Greener, a new online service which helps commuters become more environmentally aware. The service is accessed through a mobile phone or a web site on the internet, enabling a commuter quickly to see by how much carbon dioxide emissions are reduced, for example by car pooling. Volvo´s home town, the City of Göteborg in Sweden, is the first city in the world to order the service for its employees.
