DINA BACK AS BUS MANUFACTURER

After a restructuring period of more than six years, starting in 2001 with a strike and near-bankruptcy, Mexican producer Dina has begun earlier this year with the  production of a new small citybus, followed recently with a line pf full-size buses. The company has invested $60 million upgrading its factory space.

GUILIN DAEWOO BUS "TRANSFORMER" DEBUTS

At a local conference in Qionghai, Hainan Province, the Guilin Daewoo Company announced two new products, the Transformer 6128 and Happy Star 6900K coaches. Both vehicles were explained in detail, and the Transformer 6128 shown as a model.  

SETRA TOPCLASS 400 AVAILABLE WITH ACTIVE BRAKE ASSIST

The Setra S 416 HDH is the second coach from the Evobus group which will be available with the new Active Brake Assist (ABA) system, also known as emergency brake system. The system reacts when there is a slower moving object in front of the coach, creating the danger of a collision. After a number of warnings it actively starts braking.

TATA MOTORS LAUNCHES SUPER MILO BUS CHASSIS RANGE

Tata Motors has introduced a new range of Super Milo bus chassis across the country. The Super Milo range is available in two variants — City and Highway — each with customised parameters calibrated for their individual applications.

BREDAMENARINI VIVACITY HAS DEUTZ EEV ENGINE

German engine manufacturer Deutz is able to deliver it’s vehicles diesel engines in an EEV version – one of the first OEM’s to use it is the Italian bus manufacturer Bredamenarini, who installs them in their Vivacity buses. Except with diesel engines, they are also available with a CNG engine.
