Australian bus-body builders are on alert after the arrival of the first bus with a body built in China, built by leading bus builder King Long China on an Australian Iveco chassis. The bus is the first of many expected to be imported by King Long Australia, which has a deal with the Chinese company to build its bodies

British Bus builder Alexander Dennis says it already has orders for nearly 200 of its recently launched Enviro 300 single deck bus. The new model fills a gap between the Enviro200 midibus and Enviro400 double-decker. The Enviro300 comes as a fully integrated 14-tonner, with seven interior layout options and passenger capacities ranging from 48 to 80. First orders for the new bus have meanwhile been booked, those orders alone are worth over £20m and part of a record order intake, worth £160m.
THAI DISTAR COMPANY STARTS ASSEMBLY OF HIGER BUSES
Distar Corporation, a Thai company, decided in 2006 to enter into the bus assembly sector, introducing the Chinese Higer buses to the Thai market. Higer Bus Company Limited claims to be one of the top three bus manufactures in the People’s Republic of China having a production capacity of 18,000 complete buses and chassis per year.
SETRA IMPROVES THE TOPCLASS 400

HINO MOTORS RELEASES BLUE RIBBON CITY HYBRID BUS
Hino Motors, Ltd. has released its large-sized Hino Blue Ribbon City Hybrid Bus to the Japanese market following successful compliance with the 2015 Fuel Efficiency Standards for heavy vehicles in Japan.
