GREYHOUND ORDERS 140 PREVOST COACHES

Greyhound has ordered 140 X3-45 coaches from Volvo-owned Prevost. The new vehicles, which are to be used on various intercity lines, will be delivered from February to July of 2009. The order follows Greyhound’s first transaction with Prevost in spring of 2008. At that time, Greyhound ordered 33 X3-45 vehicles for its newly launched BoltBus operation, providing service between New York and Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC, and another 17 X3-45s for its line-haul fleet.

NEW ROMA AND 5000TH BODY FROM MASCARELLO

Mascarello, one of the many smaller Brazilian bodybuilders, renowned for the shape of particularly its coaches, recently launched an improved version of its Roma body for long distance coaches. Besides, she celebrated the delivery of the 5000th bus body since the start of the company in May 2004.

10,000TH FUTURA DELIVERED BY VDL BUS & COACH

VDL Bus & Coach has reached a major milestone with the delivery of the 10,000th Futura. On Friday, 10 October 2008, this extraordinary coach was handed over by Wim van der Leegte, Chairman of the Board of Management of the VDL Groep, to Harz-Weser-Werkstätten. Director Christoph Lorbacher and Head of the Workshop Heinz-Gundolf Rech travelled to VDL BOVA in Valkenswaard on behalf of Harz-Weser-Werkstätten to receive the keys and the coach officially.
