MITSUBISHI HYBRID BUS AT ECO CAR WORLD

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), an integral part of Daimler Trucks, exhibited its Aero Star Eco Hybrid bus at the Eco Car World 2009 in Japan, which took place in Yokohama from June 6 to 7. The event was intended in general to boost acceptance of low-emission vehicles and promote their widespread use. In addition to displaying the vehicles, the event offered visitors an opportunity to enjoy test drives.

FIRST BARBI-BODIED IRISBUS FOR 23 YEARS

Italian busbody manufacturer Barbi recently released a new coach body, called Gallileo af the founder of the company, which is not only available on Volvo chassis, the basis mainly used by Barbi in the past 23 years, but also on an Irisbus Eurorider chassis.

Preceeding the Busworld Asia bus exhibition was again the Asia Coach Week, an event where he youngest generation of Chinese buses is compared with a worldwide benchmark by an international jury. This jury,  with members from Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland and China, awarded the following coach competitors. 

AMPHICOACH READY TO GO

The AmphiCoach GTS-1 is an amphibious passenger coach designed by Scotsman George Smith and built in Malta. The final prototype has been recently tested at Marsaxlokk Bay, Malta.

BONLUCK CLAIMES 20 PERCENT OF THE AUSTRALIAN MARKET

Bonluck, the Chinese bus and coach manufacturer having connections with the Australian Denning family, who has been involved in the Australian bus industry for many years, claims having reached a market share of 20 percent of the Australian coach market.
