PIRELLI DPF PILOT PROJECT LAUNCHED IN BEIJING
The Italian Ministery for the Environment has signed an agreement with the Municipality of Beijing to launch a pilot project in the Chinese capital to test particulate filter technology from Pirelli Eco Technology, a division of tire manufacturer Pirelli.

BASF is supplying diesel particulate filters for over 2,500 Hong Kong transit buses, marking the first large-scale commercial use of diesel particulate filters in the city as part of a diesel retrofit program. The Italian Marangoni Group and Continental AG have signed a letter of understanding concerning a future global cooperative relationship. As outlined in the letter, Continental will grant Marangoni an exclusive license to market the ContiTread brand.
BOSCH DEVELOPS DUAL-FUEL EQUIPMENT FOR TRUCKS AND BUSES
Auto parts giant Robert Bosch is planning a serious entrance into the market for dual-fuel equipment for trucks and buses, she launched recently such a system on the Brazil market. After a low-key two year development period, using technology originally developed by DieselGas in New Zealand, Bosch has released an aftermarket conversion kit here promising diesel substitution rates of up to 90%.
WABCO WINS NEW BUSINESS IN BEIJING BUS AFTERMARKET

Wabco Holdings Inc. today announced that the Beijing Public Transport Corporation has awarded the company a new contract to provide braking products and aftermarket services for BPTC’s fleet of more than 20,000 buses before and during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in August and the Beijing Paralympics Games in September, the sport movement for disabled persons.
