C12 D low-floor city buses are also available in execution with Deutz engine that fulfils Euro 5 emission limit. The engine is vertically placed at the left rear side, and coupled to a Voith Diwabus transmission.

DAIMLER BUSES AND SUTLEJ MOTORS HANDED-OVER THE FIRST NEW MERCEDES-BENZ INTERCITY LUXURY COACH

On September 1 Daimler Buses entered the luxury bus segment in India by launching it’s new Mercedes-Benz Intercity Luxury Coach. This coach features the versatile O 500 R / RF chassis from Mercedes-Benz while its body is build by Jalandhar based Sutlej Motors. At the official launch event in Pune, Mr. Harald Landmann, Head of Daimler Buses, presented along with Dr. Wilfried Aulbur, CEO and Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz India, the keys to the first customers Sharma Transports from Bangalore, Neeta Tours and Travels from Mumbai and Konduskar Travels from Kolhapur.

FACELIFT FOR TEDOM BUSES

Czech bus manufacturer Tedom, who builds buses according to a Mauri design since the beginning of 2006, has recently changed the frontal appearance of these buses. The new design is used for both the C12 low-floor citybus and the low-entry variants of this bus

DINA BACK AS BUS MANUFACTURER

After a restructuring period of more than six years, starting in 2001 with a strike and near-bankruptcy, Mexican producer Dina has begun earlier this year with the  production of a new small citybus, followed recently with a line pf full-size buses. The company has invested $60 million upgrading its factory space.

GUILIN DAEWOO BUS "TRANSFORMER" DEBUTS

At a local conference in Qionghai, Hainan Province, the Guilin Daewoo Company announced two new products, the Transformer 6128 and Happy Star 6900K coaches. Both vehicles were explained in detail, and the Transformer 6128 shown as a model.
