IC BUS ANNOUNCES PLANS TO ENTER MOTORCOACH MARKET IN 2010

IC Bus, North America’s largest manufacturer of school buses and also a maker of commercial buses, unveiled its concept plans to enter the motorcoach market in 2010 at the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) exposition in San Diego.
VOLVO BUSES HAS SOLD BODY PLANT IN TURKU

Volvo Buses has sold the body plant in Turku, Finland. The sale is part of the company’s efforts to enhance the efficiency of the European operations. The plant in Turku produces bodies for the Volvo 9700 model. The Turku plant is the smallest plant within Volvo Buses, primarily producing for the Nordic markets. During 2007, 160 bodies were produced.
XIAMEN KING LONG LUXURY BUSES EXPORTED TO CUBA

In September King Long shipped 141 King Long (Golden Dragon) luxury buses made by Xiamen King Long Auto to Cuba. This was the first big batch of King Long buses exported to this market and also the biggest-ever order from South America for King Long buses, said a Xiamen newspaper.
SEVENTY HIGERS FOR TRINIDAD

Recently, 70 Higer buses and coaches were put into operation in Port of Spain, the capital of Trinidad. The coaches will be used to transport tourists around the island. They are part of a bigger order totalling more than hundred units of buses and coaches.

Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group's bus company was formally established recently, signifying the Chinese major automaker completed reshuffling of its commercial vehicle branches. The newly established Guangzhou Bus Co Ltd is the integration of Guangzhou Yuelong Bus Co Ltd and Guangzhou Denway Bus Co Ltd.
