VAN HOOL RECEIVES ORDER FOR EIGHT FUEL CELL BUSES
Van Hool has received a new order for 8 new generation fuel cell buses from AC Transit with an option for another 4 units. Previously in the period 2005/2006 the company has delivered 5 fuel cell bus gliders to the U.S. of which 3 to AC Transit, California, 1 to Sunline, San Diego, California en 1 to CT Transit, Connecticut.

FIRST-EVER NATURAL GAS-HYBRID TRANSIT BUS LAUNCHED IN SAN DIEGO
San Diego’s Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) has launched what's believed to be the first commercial bus with a CNG and electric hybrid drive system. Enova Systems has entered into a Long Term Supply Agreement with IC Bus, a wholly owned affiliate of Navistar, Inc. and the nation’s largest school bus manufacturer, that guarantees that Enova’s proprietary Post Transmission Parallel Hybrid Electric drive system will be used in IC Bus’ hybrid school buses.
