BITZER STARTS PRODUCTION IN INDIA

German compressor manufacturer Bitzer is setting up a production facility in India. The company will be investing Euro 4 to 5 million on the plant coming up near Mumbai, according to Mr. Jean - Marc Dameron, Managing Director of Bitzer India. The Bitzer Group is the world’s largest independent manufacturer of refrigerant compressors.
OSLO TO RUN BUSES ON BIOMETHANE

Free, friendly and non-fossil – biomethane from sewage waste will soon power public transport in the Norwegian city of Oslo. Until recently raw sewage has been seen as mainly a waste disposal problem rather than a power source. In Oslo, air pollution from public and private transport has increased by approximately 10% since 2000, contributing to more than 50% of total CO2 emissions in the city.
BANGKOK WANTS 2,000 MORE NGV BUSES

The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) will propose leasing an additional 2,000 natural-gas-for-vehicle (NGV) buses for approval by the Thai Cabinet after recently finishing the terms of reference for the first batch of 4,000.
NEW BUS/TRAIN TICKET SYSTEM TO BE INTRODUCED IN ARGENTINA

Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner has announced a single bus and train ticket system that should make an end to the illegal business of trading coins in Argentina. This trade was the result of the fact that on the so-called colectivos, the feeder buses within the big cities, a ride only could be paid with coins.
CHINESE BUS MANUFACTURERS ENTER NORTH AMERICAN MARKET
Chinese bus and coach manufacturer Zhongtong recently shipped a Zhongtong coach LCK6103M body to the United States, as part of a process to complete these buses in the USA with local components as buses for the North-American market. Further details about this project were not yet unveiled.
