Omnitek Engineering Corporation announced it has been selected by India-based Tata Motors to supply original equipment high-pressure natural gas filters for 2012 passenger vehicles, expanding a supplier agreement for commercial vehicle filter applications that commenced in 2009.
SAE TASKFORCE J2954 NEARS STANDARD ON WIRELESS CHARGING

The SAE Taskforce on wireless charging and positioning of electric vehicles (SAE J2954) is progressing, and is slated to have a final draft of the guideline this year, according to the Society of Automotive Engineers, International (SAE).The objective of the taskforce is initially to create a guideline for demonstration projects and design verification and later standardize in 2015 with field confirmation.

US Transportation Secretary, Ray LaHood, has announced US$77 million in grants to 22 University Transportation Centers (UTCs) to advance research and education programs that address critical transportation challenges facing the country. The UTCs, which are located throughout the USA, conduct research that directly supports the priorities of the US Department of Transportation (USDOT).
