Clean Energy Fuels Corp. signed a strategic joint marketing and fueling agreement with Navistar International Corp., which will see Clean Energy provide a comprehensive CNG/LNG fueling solution designed to meet Navistar customer demands and bring new customers into the natural gas market.

ORIGINAL OPTARE SOLO SUCCEEDED BY NEW LOOK SOLO SR

Optare has announced the end of production of its original Solo design after some 14 years. The original model is being retired in favour of the new look Solo SR for both UK and exports markets. Since its introduction in 1997, more than 4,000 of the original Solo design have entered service in the UK, including exports to the USA, Western Europe and beyond.

OTOKAR KENT 290 LF BUSES ON BUDAPEST ROADS

Four units of  Otokar Kent 290LF buses of Otokar, Turkey's bus market leader, have been delivered to Budapest, the capital of Hungary. At first instance they were used by the Hungarian government to transfer members of European Union committees between the Ferihegy Airport and Budapest city center, during the first six months of the year when Hungary was holding the EU chair.

CHINESE BUS SALES INCREASED OVER 7% IN 2011

During 2011 a total number of  211,400 buses have been sold in China, according to media reports. That is 7.68 percent higher than the amount sold in 2010. 23,100 buses were sold in November alone. According to Yu Zhenqing, deputy secretary general of China Highway and Transportation Society's bus division, sales of buses should further increase in the future.

OPTARE ENTERS SMALL BUS MARKET WITH THE BONITO

Optare has announced its intention to enter the small and accessible bus market this year, with an all new Optare-badged model, called Bonito. The vehicle will be produced in the Netherlands by Plastisol to Optare's specification. It will go on sale to British operators from June, with export sales in other European markets following on.
