Former US President Bill Clinton’s climate initiative has chosen a number of European developments as its partner with regard to environmentally friendly public transport. Together with the Clinton Climate Initiative, these solutions can contribute to reducing carbon dioxide emissions pursued by 40 of the world’s large cities. On December 3-5, representatives of the 40 cities will meet in London to discuss solutions to the climate impact from transports.
DAIMLER WON'T TAKE STAKE IN INDIAN PARTNER

Daimler AG denied a report in the Indian newspaper Business Standard that it will take a 26 percent stake in its Indian bus venture partner Sutlej Motors. "There is no stake in Sutlej", a spokeswoman for the German vehicle maker said, adding there were also no plans to buy a stake in the company.

British Bus builder Alexander Dennis says it already has orders for nearly 200 of its recently launched Enviro 300 single deck bus. The new model fills a gap between the Enviro200 midibus and Enviro400 double-decker. The Enviro300 comes as a fully integrated 14-tonner, with seven interior layout options and passenger capacities ranging from 48 to 80. First orders for the new bus have meanwhile been booked, those orders alone are worth over £20m and part of a record order intake, worth £160m.
