KINGLONG DELIVERED FIRST BATCH OF BRT BUSES TO IRAN

A first batch of Kinglong 18 meter BRT vehicles, of the model  XMQ6180G, were recently shipped to Iran. They are part of a batch ordered earlier this year, the vehicle shipped to Iran is part a new generation of citybuses, including articulated buses, which was launched at this year’s Busworld Asia exhibition.

NEW ROMA AND 5000TH BODY FROM MASCARELLO

Mascarello, one of the many smaller Brazilian bodybuilders, renowned for the shape of particularly its coaches, recently launched an improved version of its Roma body for long distance coaches. Besides, she celebrated the delivery of the 5000th bus body since the start of the company in May 2004.

MORE BRT SYSTEMS TO COME TO INDIA

The Indian government has decided that nine cities will be getting a BRT system to increase the capacity of the local public transport. The nine cities include Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Indore, Bhopal, Pune, Jaipur, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. The BRT systems are considered to be a crucial tool to provide smooth and affordable transport.

HUNDRED YEARS AGO THE FIRST BRISTOL BUS WAS BUILT

The Bristol Tramways & Carriage Company Ltd. was probably one of the first bus operators in the world building its own material. In 1908, two years before the LGOC began the production of the famous B-type bus which formed the basis for the later AEC marque, Bristol Tramways & Carriage manufactured its first bus.

Optare plc, the British bus manufacturer, has launched a new integral double-decker with MAN engine, that will later be offered in hybrid form with a system developed by the American company Enova.
