FIRST ALFA BUS ELECTRIC CITYBUS ARRIVED IN ITALY
Recently, the Italian Rama Company, M2AP consulting company signed a cooperation agreement with Shanghai Leibo New Energy Auto Technology Limited and Jiangsu Alfa Bus Co.,Ltd for the development of electric city buses for the Italian market. Rama is a subsidiary of the Grosseto public transport company.
The technology used in this the new environmental friendly electric bus enables an average speed of 90 kilometres/hour and has an action radius of 200 kilometres, including use of the air-conditioning. The first prototype vehicle has meanwhile been produced in China, the various European approvals will be obtained in March 2011, after which the first vehicles will put into operation in Grosseto in May 2011. After that, the buses will be available for sale at all European markets, Rama will be responsible for sales and service.
