ENGINE DEAL BETWEEN NAVISTAR AND OTOKAR

Navistar Engine Group, an operating unit of Navistar Inc., has closed an agreement to supply diesel engines to Turkish vehicle manufacturer Otokar. Within the framework of this agreement, MWM International Motores, Navistar’s South American affiliate, will produce MaxxForce engines to power buses.
The Otokar buses fitted with these engines are intended both for the Turkish domestic market and for export markets where Otokar is active. The six-year contract calls for the supply of two inline four-cylinder engines — the MaxxForce 3.2 and the MaxxForce 3.0.
